Ok so the shading is still not great but it's better despite being done with no references! Fluffer-Nutter Sandwiches help the muse and give strength to sore wrists... xDDD

But hey, there's a fun story for the fun concept of the picture, so rejoice! xDDD

This is my bid for Livesay, in Dilettante Stables' moving sale-->>[link]

:bulletblue: The day had started off at 4 AM like any other day at Pennylane Stud; horses fed, stalls mucked, plans reviewed, racers worked. After all the horses had been fed and turned out, Calliope and her fiance finally sat down to breakfast. In the middle of a bite of biscuit, Callie's phone rang. She casually swept her gaze over the number and did a delayed double-take; it was her friend from Kentucky, the friend that only EVER used the phone to spread juicy tidbits of horse-related news. The thing is, Felicity rarely left her bed before 8 am, and it was close to 6:30 right now. Callie quickly mashed the answer button and all but yelled, "Hello? Felicity? Who's having a baby by who? Who's for sale? Who's coming out of retirement? What's got you out of bed at 6:30 in the morning!?" "Callie, you would not BELIEVE what I just got wind of!" the woman practically sang. "Callie guess what!" With an impatient sigh, Callie tried to end the games. "What?"

"Livesay is for sale."

For a moment Callie couldn't move, she couldn't breathe, she couldn't talk. All she could do was see in her mind's eye an image of the stunning warmblood stallion floating about on strides of cloud, in her pasture. She had spent many a day planning a meeting between Livesay and their cremello tobiano mare Nectarine, so she knew well who he was. It took a moment but she soon regained her ability to move and said, "Holy cheezits on a hotdog, batman... Felicity! You are the shizz. I'll be there tomorrow." With that, she leapt up and ran out the door as fast as she could, dialing for a ticket reservation at Dublin Airport.

If We Get Him
Livesay had handled the flight to Dublin very well, but the ferry from the coast to Pennylane Stud's private island was another story. He kept pacing back and forth in his stall and, granted that the particular ferry in question was rather smaller than the official Pennylane Stud ferry, he kept rocking the boat and making some of the passengers seasick. :giggle:

However, during most of the trip he didn't pull very many tricks on his handlers...er, well, until they had left the dock and found a grassy patch. His handlers had given him some lead to let him graze, but he laid down instead. Fearing colic, the handlers easily had him sit up, but then he wouldn't move anymore. He just sat there on his wide white behind and refused to move from first decent patch of grass he'd set foot on since leaving Kentucky. When his handlers couldn't move him, they called in Calliope, who had gone ahead of the airport's usual equine health and safety checks.

Grant decided to come with her to see this magnificent horse that she'd left breakfast for the other day. His first impression was not quite as noble and awe-inspiring as hers had been. Where Liv had been shown in hand and flashed his dreamy gaits before her, the stallion now sat like a mule, with his stubborn ass planted firmly on the ground.

Grant - "Why... is he sitting down? They're not really supposed to do that are they?"
Callie - "Well, I dunno, but he seems to be quite comfortable, really..."
Grant - "He... He's smiling. He knows that he's causing trouble! He's actually smiling! Callie, don't you dare tell me you got yet ANOTHER trouble-maker!"
Callie - "Okay... I won't tell you."
Grant - *facepalm* (he does this a lot in life :giggle: )
Grant - "So, you said he's a jumper?"
Callie - "He's an Eventer like Sully, but I've heard he like jumping best."
Grant - "Hmm. Not so 'Jumpy' as 'Sitty', really." :bulletblue:

((So... long story is long. ^^; If you read all of that, have a pie and cookies and a hotdog with cheezits on it xDDD))

Personality: Livesay is an intelligent stallion, but he uses his abilities for evil instead of good. He's sneaky, clever, and loves to play pranks. He knows how to slip out of his halter, how to unlock gates and stall doors, and how to pull cell phones out of pockets. He'll nip and kick to be silly, and his favorite trick is biting his groomer's butt when he/she is picking his front feet. Livesay always has a mischievous gleam in his eyes, and whoever is handling must keep both eyes on him at all times, or else face the consequences. He likes to "test" his rider by randomly bucking, swerving, or by purposefully sliding to a perfect cutting horse's stop just inches before a jump. This guy is trouble.

oh and if you get him, you may want to change cutting horse's stop to reining horse's stop at the 2nd to last sentence. cutters dont slide, they use front feet to prevent sliding, otherwise they would loose the cow. reiners are the ones who slide, usually more than 8 feet if they are good(i take pride in my first slide, it was 10 feet....lol). They use their front leg to "pull" them forward. hope that made some sense and helps...lol
